PROJECT The verticaliser e-Upender was designed with the aim of creating a reliable and safe system for rotating reels through 90°, capable of being integrated into automated packaging and handling lines.
The design phase involved studying typical operating conditions, including heavy loads, repetitive cycles and the need for integration with existing systems such as roller conveyors, belts and unloading cradles. On this basis, a robust mechanical structure was defined, capable of ensuring stability during handling and precision in rotation.
Particular attention was paid to the handling and tilting system, designed to ensure controlled and gradual movement of the reel, reducing impacts and stress on the material. The device was also designed to allow automated pallet handling, incorporating locking and positioning systems during the rotation phase.
The project also included an operational safety analysis, with the aim of eliminating manual handling and reducing risks to operators, making the process fully automatable.
In conclusion, the verticaliser has been designed as a modular, integrable solution geared towards production efficiency, capable of improving internal logistics and optimising the final stages of the production cycle.
